MYRTLE BEACH — Five new Spirit Airlines flights will launch this spring at Myrtle Beach International Airport, according to a news release from the airline.
Spirit will add a seasonal nonstop route from Myrtle Beach to Louisville, Kentucky, while also resuming seasonal routes to Chicago, Cleveland, Latrobe, Pa., and Rochester, N.Y.
“We’re excited to expand our route map at Myrtle Beach this spring and connect our MYR Guests to five cities including Chicago (ORD), Cleveland (CLE), Latrobe (LBE), Louisville (SDF) and Rochester (ROC),” said John Kirby, vice president of network planning at Spirit, in the release. “Plus, we’re making it easier for leisure travelers across our network to explore over 60 miles of beautiful beaches and golf courses in the Grand Strand.”
Here’s when the new flights will begin taking off:
- Flights to Cleveland begin March 19
- Flights to Louisville begin March 19
- Flights to Rochester, N.Y., begin April 10
- Flights to Latrobe, Pa., begin May 7
- Flights to Chicago begin May 10
These flights arrive after Myrtle Beach International saw a record number of passengers last year.
The airport added several routes in 2024, including three through Breeze Airways, three new nonstop routes into MYR from New York and Michigan through Allegiant Air, and nonstop flights to New England through Avelo Airlines.
