The Black Keys are giving North American touring another go with the spring leg of their “No Rain No Flowers Tour.”
The new dates, at smaller venues, will kick off on May 23 at the Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma. The Black Keys will stop at The Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on June 14.
If you don’t know, the Ohio-based rock band had a bit of a rocky 2024. The duo had announced an arena tour in support of their 12th album, “Ohio Players,” and was abruptly canceled due to low ticket sales. The band then decided to split with their management, Full Stop. Drummer Patrick Carey voiced his displeasure in a now-deleted X (formerly Twitter) post.
The band noted that they are working on a follow-up to “Ohio Players” before returning to the road.
“After the tour was canceled, the consensus was, ‘S— happens, and you just have to move through it,’” drummer Patrick Carney said in a statement. “We were already on a creative streak, and the best thing we could do, rather than sit at home, was just go back in the studio. Get back to work. So, that’s how the record started.”
