Capcom has just announced a remaster for the second Onimusha game, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny. Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny Remastered will be coming to PC in 2025, and below you can find its debut trailer.
Sadly, Capcom hasn’t revealed any additional details. So, there is nothing more to share at this point. From what I can see, this feels too close to the original game. Or at least it’s not up to what Team Ninja offered with Ninja Gaiden 2 Black.
Speaking of Onimusha, Capcom also shared a new dev video for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Thus, I’ve included it below. Be warned though. It doesn’t feature any new gameplay footage from it. So, don’t expect much from this dev video.
As said, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny will be coming to PC sometime in 2025. On the other hand, Onimusha: Way of the Sword targets a 2026 release.
It’s quite refreshing to witness such love for the Onimusha franchise. And yes, it deserves it.
Let’s now hope that Capcom will treat Dino Crisis similarly. Earlier this month, Capcom re-released the first two Dino Crisis games on GOG. So, baby steps? Let’s at least hope that this re-release won’t be the only thing we get for the DC franchise.
